As a Raynor massage therapist, I am not a medical doctor and therefore cannot diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. My work focuses on identifying and releasing tension throughout the body, which may help to relieve discomfort, improve mobility and support overall wellbeing.
Many forms of muscular tension and pain can be linked to lifestyle factors such as repetitive movements, physical work, exercise, posture, stress, or prolonged periods of sitting. Massage can often provide significant relief; however, if the underlying cause remains unchanged, tension is likely to return over time and ongoing treatment may be beneficial.
If you have severe, persistent, unexplained or medically complex symptoms, I would always recommend seeking advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

At our practice, we don’t believe the body works in isolated sections. Tension patterns are often connected throughout the whole body, so pain or tightness in one area may actually be linked to restriction somewhere else. Our approach is influenced by the principles of Raynor Massage, which focuses on identifying and releasing deep patterns of tension rather than simply treating symptoms in one location. For this reason, we offer sessions based on time rather than ‘back massage’, ‘neck massage’ or other body-part treatments. During your session, we work intuitively with the areas that need attention most, helping the body release tension as a connected system. This often includes areas that are commonly overlooked in traditional massage, such as the hips, abdomen, hands, feet or jaw, as these can contribute to wider patterns of tightness and discomfort. The aim is not simply temporary relief in one spot, but a more complete sense of ease, balance and relaxation throughout the body.
